The First 90 Days

As of today, I’ve been the CEO of Seabreeze Management Company for 90 days – not that I’ve been counting. Frankly, I haven’t had time. This is the first moment that I’ve been able to sit and gather my thoughts about the whirlwind that has been the past few months. Since I began this journey, my days have been packed with change, challenges, and some of the sweetest victories that I’ve ever experienced in my professional life. I can assure you that, even on the most demanding of days, I wouldn’t change a thing. There’s a reason for this, and that reason is people.
A great company culture is what makes Seabreeze different, and every person here is an essential part of that culture. This team is why I get out of bed each and every morning; they are why our customers continue to renew with Seabreeze, and this is why I will continue to invest right here at home. This means staying true to the core values that have made this company exceptional, but also continuing to look for new ways and opportunities to create a better workplace experience for our employees.
I firmly believe that by engaging and collaborating with our people, we’re investing in our customers and our future.
Cultivating employee engagement can be as simple as being in the right physical space, and I am thrilled to report that we are happily settling into our new offices. We’ve torn down the walls, quite literally, and created an open environment that encourages creativity, conversations, and exchange of ideas. We’re also in the process of reevaluating everything from employee benefits to work schedules because these are not only important to attracting and maintaining the best possible talent, but enriching the lives of those who give their all to our customers and fellow team members.
Does all of this take time and resources? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. At Seabreeze, family comes first, and our customers, by extension, are part of our family. So, by investing in our team, everyone wins. I am beyond fortunate to be at the helm of this great organization, and we have so many exciting things in the pipeline that I can’t help but be optimistic about our future.
Over the past 90 days, I’ve formed incredible connections and have seen tremendous growth in both employees and myself. This role has impacted both my personal and professional development, challenging me like never before. I’m grateful for every person who has worked alongside me as we look to take Seabreeze to the next level. I will continue to keep an open dialogue as we continue along this amazing journey, together.
